I have been a teaching assistant for three courses at IIT Bombay across five semesters.
Graduate Financial Engineering course taught by Prof. K. S. Mallikarjuna Rao in Spring 2024 (~200 students, 6TAs). I was the Head TA for this course.
Graduate Probability and Stochastic Processes course taught by Prof. K. S. Mallikarjuna Rao in Autumn 2023 (135 students, 4 TAs). I was the Head TA for this course.
Undergraduate Freshman Biology course (compulsory for all first-year undergrads at IIT Bombay) under Prof. Ambarish Kunwar, Prof. Neeta Karnekar, and Prof. Hari M. Verma in three different semesters (Spring 2021, Autumn 2021, and Spring 2022) (~700-800 students, ~30 TAs). Most of my duties for this course happened online because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the partial/full lockdowns in effect.
In all the courses, I (and my fellow TAs):
Corrected papers
Took part in weekly doubt sessions
Proctored all the exams
In the graduate courses, as the Head TA, I also:
Organized paper re-grading sessions.
Took the Attendance in class.
Organized all intra-TA and TA-student interactions.
Assigned project teams and topics, took progress reports for projects every week, and helped the instructor grade the project and final presentations. (Only in the Financial Engineering course)
For the Biology course, I also took 1 hour of class for two tutorial batches of ~40 students every week and conducted mini quizzes in the tutorial sessions.
